1. Who we are?
MADA Women Development South Sudan is a national organization, non-profit organization founded in January 2008 as Community Base Organization and officially registered in Warrap State in 2012 and in Juba with Ministry in January 2014. However, with the new revitalized South Sudan NGO Act 20017 Policy, MADA is operating under South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission with a registration 7555 MADA assist community and local authorities in planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of basic services including emergencies preparedness in collaboration with other partners. The organization aims at empowering women to live productively with dignity and enable them to access basic human needs and become self reliance. MADA works to elevate poverty by providing tools and skills to vulnerable population of the community
2. Our official name
The registered name of organization is “MADA Development South Sudan” The abbreviation is “MADA”.
3. The founding members
MADA was established by a group of young and energetic, professional Community members and elders who were highly motivated and committed for contributing their time, skills, abilities and energies for the development and empowerment of socially disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in South Sudan and addressing poverty issues and gender based discriminations.
4. Type & Nature of Organization
MADA is a development organization. It’s a non-government, not-for-profit and non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-political organization working for social development of vulnerable and less developed people of South Sudan. It’s a humanitarian NGO. MADA could also be labeled as an implementing organization which designs and implements various developmental projects with the financial and technical support of international donor agencies and the government as well as the local communities.

Livelihoods and Explore Sustainable & disaster Resilient Livelihood Options
b) Promotion of Gender Equality & Women Empowerment, and Address Gender Based Violence Issues.
c) Promoting and Educating the civil population of South Sudan about their civil rights and Obligation
d) Disaster Risk Reduction, Provide Timely Relief Assistance to Disaster Affected Communities and Assist them for their Timely Rehabilitation and Early Recovery
e) Promotion of Education with Special Focus on Girls’ Education
f) Provision of Accessible and clean drinking water & quality Sanitation Facilities and Improvement of Community Physical Infrastructure

10. Clusters Focus
MADA’s focus is on the socio-economically disadvantaged groups of women, youth and children. Keeping in view the overall socio-cultural fabric of the society and the overall power imbalances and discriminations that exist at all levels; the focus, amongst these clusters, is again on most vulnerable and the marginalized ones. MDAD also focuses on the inclusion of minorities and special groups such as widows and physically impaired persons and elderly people.
11. Geographical Focus
geographic focus is South Sudan. Its majorly operates currently in Twic County,
Warrap Sate with its head quarter in Wunrock Payam.
It has coordination office at the Capital City, Juba South Sudan.
